My introduction to CSS and HTML

This is the simple definition of CSS that I found on the W3schools website that helped me understand what CSS is all about and its functions:
CSS is a stylesheet language that describes the presentation of an HTML (or XML) document.
CSS describes how elements must be rendered on screen, on paper, or in other media.

This is an example of what a CSS programme looks like. This programme is usually used for coding. I was able to practice this in my workshop where myself and other students used CSS to create a few simple sentences for us to become comfortable with the structure CSS has to offer so that eventually we could turn it into a HTML document.

HTML stands for hypertext markup language that is normally used to create all the webpages we use and see on the computer/internet.

This website also helped me to understand technical terms such as HTML and others that i might hear in the lecture or seminar that i do not understand or have never heard of before: http://techterms.com/definition/html
